What happens to transparent backgrounds?
PNG and WebP keep them. JPG cannot be transparent, so transparent parts become white.
Why are my iPhone photos HEIC?
iPhones save photos as HEIC to use less space. To get JPG straight from the camera, go to Settings › Camera › Formats › Most Compatible.
